Blizzard has a patch, free to download. I've tried pretty much everything, to no avail. I've played this game a lot.
Zip. My recommendation is this: If you need some Diablo in your life, wait till September of '09, which is the rumored release date of Diablo 3, which will certainly be supported by newer Mac OS's. They also have a Native installer, which is also free, and also will not run the program.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Diablo. Zero. Dont waste your time or money trying to install this on a newer Mac system.
BUT, I just bought D2, and it isn't supported on the new (08+) Macs. Does nothing.
Made a complicated game even more complicated but thats OK. Probably should have spent my money on more important stuff but this did add some really cool features to Diablo.
Especially valid with the impending release of Diablo III. Very enjoyable with easy to use online capabilities.
I bought it again because my old disc actually was burnt out from possible overplay lol. Can't really say much more than what others have said. Great game, played it many years ago and still love it to this day.
So thank you It came in the mail real fast. I love this game i use to have it but i lost it and when diablo 3 was announced i knew i had to play diablo 2 again.
